Jefferson Wedding

Jefferson is a city in Greene County, Iowa, along the North Raccoon River. The population was 4,626 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Greene CountyGR6. It is the home of the Mahanay Memorial Carillon Tower, 168 feet tall and visible for miles.

The racial makeup of the city was 97.97% White, 0.15% African American, 0.24% Native American, 0.39% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 0.61% from other races, and 0.63% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.73% of the population.
